Idle sandboxes pause after five quiet minutes, and pick up the same conversation when you send the next message. Builds and dev servers keep them awake.
Cloud agents, freshly squeezed. Open source.
Run Claude Code, Codex and friends in their own cloud VMs, on the AI plan you already pay for. Close your laptop. They keep squeezing out pull requests.

Open source.
No fine print.
The app, the runner and the cloud control plane are MIT-licensed. Read the code, run it yourself, or let us host it.
Longest any GitHub token lives in a sandbox. Each one only works on that thread's repository.
Markup on your AI usage. Agents run on your own Claude or ChatGPT plan, or your own API key. We never see or bill model calls.
Use the plans you
already pay for.
Sign in with the subscription you have, or paste an API key. We don't resell tokens and we don't mark them up.
Which do you already have?
1,000 agents.
1,000 VMs.

Full admin rights
sudo apt install whatever the task needs. Databases, browsers, GPUs. It's the agent's machine.
Sealed off
No route to other users, other sandboxes or your laptop. A runaway rm -rf stays in its own VM.
One branch per agent
Every result comes back as its own reviewable pull request. Merge what you like, close the rest.
Close the lid at 7.
Wake up to 12 done.
Hand off a dozen tasks before dinner, then drag through the night. Your laptop sleeps. Your agents don't.

What is LemonLime?
An open-source app for running AI coding agents, either on your machine or each in its own cloud VM. You hand off tasks and get back branches and pull requests.
Can I use it today?
Yes. Download the macOS app or run the install script. Local agents work right away with no account. Sign in only when you want cloud VMs.
Can an AI agent install it for me?
Yes. Point your agent at the install command above. It's a single script with no interactive prompts.
How much does it cost?
Local agents are free forever. Cloud plans start at $5 a month for 25 hours: Seed ($5), Zest ($40), Squeeze ($150) and Grove ($500, for teams). Need more? Add 50 hours for $10 any time. Your AI usage stays on your own plan or key.
Which agents are supported?
Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode, tested on every release, plus any agent that speaks the Agent Client Protocol (ACP). On your computer and in the cloud.
Do I need a model subscription?
You need some way to pay for the model: a Claude or ChatGPT subscription, or an API key from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or OpenRouter. LemonLime signs the agent in with it; we never resell or mark up tokens.
Does it really keep working with my laptop closed?
Cloud agents run on our machines, not yours. Close the lid, catch a flight, sleep. Results are waiting as PRs when you're back.
Can I self-host?
Yes. The whole app is open source. Run it on your own server with Node and SQLite, or deploy it to your own Cloudflare account. Your code and data stay on infrastructure you control.
Is it secure?
Every agent runs in its own isolated VM with no route to other users or sandboxes. Secrets go in through a dedicated form, never through the chat, and are scoped to a single VM.
